Choosing sugar or wax
Sugaring generally needs a minimum of around 5 mm of hair growth for an effective result. Our professional Lycon and CaronLab waxes can remove shorter hair from around 2 mm.
Assessment comes first
You do not need to decide on the method before your appointment. Adina will assess your skin, hair length, density and condition and choose the sugar or professional wax most likely to give the best result. Depending on your skin and service, this can include modern low-temperature hybrid waxes and pine-free options.

Before your appointment
- For sugaring, aim for at least around 5 mm of visible hair growth.
- Avoid heavy exfoliation immediately before your appointment.
- Tell Adina about relevant medication, recent skin treatments or sensitivity.
